I just started listening to Kent, I'm not an immigrant...but my forebears were. All of our forebears were if we want to get technical. There is great value in these interviews; they can inspire and help anyone, even 3rd generation Americans. The imigrant spirit, tenacity, work ethic and perseverance really comes through. I highly recomend this podcast to anyone.

Full disclosure: I had the utmost honor of being interviewed by Kent (episode 27) Kent is an extraordinary host; he listens so attentively that it feels like an intimate conversation just between two old friends, and he puts you so completely at ease that you confess your life at his feet. Then much later, as if awakening from a trance, you remember the interview will be listened to by tens of thousands of people, and you sprain your brain hoping that you made sense. But then again, maybe that was just me: I have listened to all the other interviews: Gary Vee, Brett Gajda, Hani Mourra, Parvis Parvisi, Amal, Dr Pei and many more, all people I admire and look up to. The common theme in all the interviews is that Kent draws out the best in all his guests. Thank you, Kent. IE is such a gift (to me, personally), and to this world.

Kent uses the fact that about a third of SV startups and almost 1/2 of Fortune 500s were founded by immigrants to fuel a look into the development of new businesses in this country, exploring the successes of founders who chased their dreams while starting fresh in a new place, often coupled with the added struggle of learning a new language and culture, overcoming challenges and limited resources.
